Confetti Theatricals Philosophy
CREATE!
At Confetti Theatricals we believe in your child's creativity. Unlike other companies that
bring in actors to entertain your child, at a Confetti Theatricals event, your child creates
theatre and becomes the character from the story of their choice. Also unlike other
companies, Confetti Theatricals uses stories and themes from classic and contemporary
childrens literature, not from comercial media. We believe that creativity is enhanced
when children draw upon characters and images in their own imaginations rather
than repeating those images and characters so abundantly thrust upon them in the
marketplace of today.

PARTICIPATE!
Imagine an exciting birthday party where your child and their friends put on a show for you and the other parent guests. We start by listening to a story (see the list and descriptions under the party themes tab) and then with the aid of a few simple costumes, props, masks and hats, we embody the characters in the story. After a few minutes of rehearsal, we invite the proud parents to come and see what we have created. What fun it is to actually participate in the story and proudly say, "look what we can do!". This philosophy and exciting way to enhance literacy is perfect for enrichment in the classroom, after school, or summer camp setting. Our teacher trainings will inspire your staff to give students the art and theatre enrichment that has become less and less accessible for our children in these days of budget cuts. And Confetti Theatricals methods are easy for teachers to learn and easy on the school budget.
